Life moves fast. The alarm buzzes, and before your feet even hit the floor, your mind is already racing through the day’s tasks. There are errands to run, deadlines to meet, kids to care for, meals to prepare, and unexpected detours that throw everything off course. Some days feel like a blur, and by the time you collapse into bed at night, you realize you never had a quiet moment to spend with God. Does that mean we’re failing in our faith? Or could it be that faith isn’t meant to fit into the quiet spaces, but rather, into every space?
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33
God doesn’t ask us to pause life in order to seek Him. He invites us to seek Him in the midst of our lives. Instead of waiting for a perfect moment, we can invite Him into the moments we already have.
Some days truly are overwhelming, filled with responsibilities we can’t avoid. But many times, we unknowingly create unnecessary chaos for ourselves. We say “yes” to too many commitments, fill our time with distractions, and allow the world to dictate our schedules instead of being intentional about leaving space for God. He doesn’t demand an impossible amount of our time, but He does desire to be part of it.
It starts with small choices—turning worries into prayers, pausing to thank Him for small blessings, and seeking Him in the middle of our daily responsibilities. Listening to a Bible podcast while driving, praying while folding laundry, or choosing worship music over mindless scrolling are all simple ways to keep Him at the forefront of our minds.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.” – Hebrews 10:24-25
God is not confined to a quiet time journal or a Sunday morning pew. He is present in the boardroom, in the carpool line, in the grocery store aisle. When we shift our mindset from “I don’t have time for God” to “God is with me in every moment,” we begin to see opportunities to connect with Him all around us.
At the same time, we must also recognize when we’ve allowed unnecessary busyness to take over. Sometimes, the best way to prioritize God is to say “no” to distractions and pressures that pull us away from what truly matters. Are there commitments we’ve taken on that aren’t necessary? Are we giving too much of our energy to things that don’t bring us closer to God or our loved ones?
“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
While God can meet us in the chaos, He also calls us to moments of stillness. Finding time for God isn’t just about squeezing Him into our schedules—it’s about making room in our hearts. It’s about learning to walk with Him throughout the day, trusting that He is present in both the busy seasons and the quiet moments.
Today, let’s choose to seek Him—not just when life slows down, but in the midst of whatever this day holds. Let’s invite Him into our conversations, our work, our worries, and our joys. Let’s make space for Him, not just by clearing our schedules, but by filling our schedules with awareness of His presence.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
When we place God at the center of our lives, we find that the chaos loses its grip. Stress is replaced with trust. Worry is replaced with peace. And even in the busiest of days, we discover that time with God isn’t something we have to make—it’s something we get to live.
